I went to the branch today to close my account and was told I have to pay $16.95 just to close it. I opened my CIBC account online expecting to receive a debit card in the mail, but it never arrived. Because of that, I couldn’t deposit money or maintain the minimum balance to waive the monthly fee. Now I’m being charged $16.95 for an account I couldn’t even use. This has been a really disappointing experience, and I won’t be banking with CIBC again.

Very friendly and professional associates. They do things accurately and quickly. Glad I joined.
Worst bank ever! Advisor my father used had no clue what he was doing and told me wrong information numerous times just to have the branch manager back that up as well. Branch manager is very disappointing as she has absolutely no compassion and grace to deal with anything and instead of being sympathetic made an already stressful situation worse. More to the point they have no clue how to deal with situations that are beyond them.
