Is the branch closed? I called during business hours 2 days in a row and the phone just rings out and then disconnects. Trying to make an extra payment is darn near impossible. Tried booking through the app- no luck either!!!

Came today to do legit banking with CIBC port elgin. Brought a legit bank draft issued by a Big 5 bank in Port Elgin even while giving them phone number they can call to verify that funds is there. Br mgr Matt would not release the 5-day hold and told me rudely "he will not call any bank branch" and no release of 5-day hold because it's CIBC policy due to number of fraud cases" I personally wonder if a known public figure comes to your branch, would you not release your hold too?? Just an excuse for poor service!

I have always experienced excellent customer services from the advisors as well as at the front counter. They are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the good services.

Very bad customer service. The advisor was not sure of the product and just wanted me to book another appointment to generate a cancellation of the GI request, which other branches let me execute via email too. Her name was Sonal, and she was quite rude and unfriendly. Better to use TD bank,Port Elgin. They are supportive and friendly.
