For some reason they closed all the branches that were actually in town and opened this one on the outskirts of town. I'm not quite sure who thought this was a good idea but it makes it much more difficult to use the bank having to drive to the outskirts across town versus being able to stop at one of the locations equally spaced through town.
I would love to have been in the CIBC team meeting when they decided to shut down all the locations and consolidate them at the furthest possible edge of town and making it a trek for 90% of Welland's Population. Heck they should have placed it 150m down the Road in Thorold to make it even funnier. Let's not keep the location at the Seaway mall with the convenient bus hub or Fitch in the middle of a mature neighborhood next to the elderly and the senior living centers.
