If I could give a 0/5 star review I have. During the hardest time of my life this branch has made it 100x harder with no communication regarding my late father’s RESP which he setup for me. The branch took over a month to book an appointment to start the estate process and has taken over 6 months to receive the funds despite me making it clear that I’m relying on this money. Spoke to a teller Ikata, did not get good services at all, debit card and account went frozen after spoke to her, really bad. Fortunately, there is an acting manager, Sharoon Alvin, who steps out and helps me resolve the issue. Excellent services from Alvin. Without Alvin, this branch is going to get ZERO star, and I am going to take CIBC to public media for withholding personal funds illegally even presenting a true authentic Canadian passport. Worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff couldn’t even communicate properly, and just to withdraw my RRSP, they’re asking me to wait 4 days for an appointment. Completely ridiculous and frustrating
It’s awful when the first interaction you have is with the “greeter” Zara who have zero people skills. Luckily Assistant Branch Manager Brandon was able to step in. But come on CIBC - be better.
