I am 40 and the customer service I recieved here was some of the worst I have encountered in my life. The teller made a mistake that affected my account and it was like it didn’t even occur to them to care about what a problem they had created for me. I rarely write reviews, but the appalling experience I’ve had with this CIBC branch demands attention. I have never encountered such consistently poor service from any financial institution. I've been a customer at the CIBC branch on Harvey in Kelowna for over two years. Despite providing all the necessary legal documents for my corporation, the branch has repeatedly failed to keep track of them. After two years of cashing checks without issue, they suddenly refused to process my checks, claiming they couldn't find the documents. My partner and I tried to sort out a Costco credit card issue by going in person twice now, and they told us to go back to Costco despite it being an issue with the bank itself. They have sent us in circles repeatedly back to Costco. I was told to try to get an appointment with the branch manager, but it is impossible to book an appointment over the phone.
