Understaffed and huge turnaround time.
Only one teller Friday morning. The line was long (6-7 people). I was third in the line when entered and waited 25-30 min.
On May 26, I contacted CIBC to initiate a chargeback for a transaction totaling $189. Approximately 12 minutes later, I called CIBC back because I had changed my mind and wanted to cancel the chargeback request. The representative assured me that the request would be cancelled, and I left the call believing the matter had been resolved. However, on June 10, I woke up to find a $189 deposit in my account. Not happy with service at all. We applied for a credit card on the way out the door at Costco, which here in Canada runs through CIBC. We were approved in store. We got the physical card roughly 2 weeks later. My husband tried registering the card and had issues. He tried for a week before he had me try. We called CIBC customer support and we were given a slew of reasons why it might not be working for the registration process. Should of been our first red flag.
