Highly disappointed with my experience at the cibc. I waited in line for over 30 minutes only to be told they couldn't deposit my cheque. The person in front of me was also told this and the teller laughed as she told the customer. The arrogant and smug look on the teller's face was very infuriating as she told me that I was not able to deposit mine. Bank Visit – April 15, 2025 (9:50am) I went to deposit a cheque and asked how long the hold would be. The teller said five business days, which is fine — I just wanted to clarify. What bothered me was the lack of courtesy. I said “thank you” twice and got no response. Not expecting much, but basic politeness matters. Pretty rude service.

Never have enough tellers on,, obviously trying to get people to use internet banking, however most people in line are seniors. Shame CIBC can't understand this or their customers. They are the worst
