Super understaffed and busy the tellers don't even be specific telling me I needed only 1 proof of ID on the phone then when I went they said I needed another 2, Do better
There is a big line up always, only two tellers are working, I am waiting from last 50 minutes. Need to improve.

CIBC is an incompetent bank. I opened an account online expecting immediate activation, as I have successfully done with other banks like Wealthsimple, Tangerine, Simplii, and RBC. However, my account remained inactive. After calling customer service, I was told I needed to verify my identity in person. Worst branch I’ve ever been to. I’ve been trying to apply for a student credit card, All 3 instances I’ve interacted with this branch have all been horrible. it’s impossible to call for an appointment, no one answers the phone. When I come in to verify 2 pieces of ID, the bank teller was then suddenly preoccupied with a previous customer while I was talking to her and she gave away my ID to the wrong customer.
