Frustrated with trying to close a bank account. I open an account over the phone or online tried to close it later because I wasn’t very happy with it. Then tried to call in and couldn’t close it over the phone. They said I had to go into the branch. Then finally had time to go to the branch. It said they were open, but there was nobody around, locked up they even had a sign at the door with the hours saying they should be open, but they were closed. I called him again. Nothing they can do for me.

They didn't pick up the phone once after 21 attempts in 2 days (during business hours) and did not return my message. Earlier this year, I attempted to complete what is essentially a bill payment at the branch, exactly as we would do with the online or phone service but it was for a large sum and I felt more comfortable doing it in person. So , just finished with my Dads estate. It was a long process that was not helped by CIBC in Kentville , and CIBC national. Took over 10 months, starting in February. , The bank told we didn’t have to probate and 19 months later we did so anyway as they placed roadblock after roadblock up to make it impossible to deal with them. From the start, we were given the wrong information, they refused to provide any policy on how they handle Wills and the person I dealt with couldn’t answer any direct questions.
