Made effort to skipped from work during lunch just to simply make identification as requested from customer service I've talked over the phone. Been told that identification was okay and no problem when she checked, but need someone from the branch to call for verification. * Long history but may happen if you have kids joined on your account. CIBC closed my checking acct and sent balance on regular mail, because we have our 5 year old disabled on the account. My family open an CIBC bank account back in 2018, in Cayuga Branch. We had regular checking , savings and credit cars with this bank. On 2023, we decided to add our son, because he was receiving 3 checks a year, for his physical disabilities. With the worst products and lower performing investment products, CIBC has always been mostly for financially illiterate Canadians who like the colour red. However, the Waterdown branch is the absolute worst. It's filled with end career mid-level employees in a dead end job with no chance of upward mobility and they have no motivation to provide even minimal customer service. Avoid this branch like the plague.
I called several CIBC branches over the last several days. Could not speak to a live person or receive a call back. I can hardly wait to show them where we invested our funds and the amount what a joke CIBC is.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Recommended!
