Always have had great help at this location. Very easy and honest. One person in particular was Katharine. She’s always made everything so easy for me and pointed me in the right direction. She helped my wife and I make successful choices in our investments and also helped us in the process of purchasing our first home. She is very professional and knowledgeable and we will always be going to her for her help!
Visited the CIBC Waterdown branch on Oct 24, 2025, at 11:48 a.m. to pick up my new card. The teller wasn’t rude but was very cold and unwelcoming—no greeting or offer to help. Compared to TD and RBC, the service felt uncomfortable. I only use CIBC for my Costco card and likely won’t do further banking here.
Poor service at this CIBC branch. I came to pick up a credit card; there were only two customers, yet the staff ignored me, kept chatting with others, took a long time checking unrelated information, and even made mistakes.
Made effort to skipped from work during lunch just to simply make identification as requested from customer service I've talked over the phone. Been told that identification was okay and no problem when she checked, but need someone from the branch to call for verification. She told me that no one is available and I need to come back maybe tomorrow or later after telling her that I just made effort to leave work just to make this hoorah...What kind of service is it that they don't care about your time wasted...it is very fru... read more
* Long history but may happen if you have kids joined on your account. CIBC closed my checking acct and sent balance on regular mail, because we have our 5 year old disabled on the account. My family open an CIBC bank account back in 2018, in Cayuga Branch. We had regular checking , savings and credit cars with this bank. On 2023, we decided to add our son, because he was receiving 3 checks a year, for his physical disabilities.
