First a CSR accepts me at her window then does a good job explaining a deposit issue but when I ask about the US exchange rate she dismisses me saying “I’m supposed to be closed” go to the agent. Second when I got the rate from the 2nd agent he quoted 1.3527 then when I checked at the ATM the rate was 1.45 so I went back to the agent only be told the new rate is 1.457. What an operation? Deeply disappointed with the service at this CIBC branch. I made multiple phone calls over two days, left voicemails, and finally got a response saying I can come in person to check for appointments. I did exactly that—only to be told to “wait on the sofa,” then abruptly dismissed by another staff member who told me to book online and leave.
