Great local bank. Friendly. Professional. Great locations. Very convenient…..this used to be the case for many years. Not anymore. Can never get through on the phone almost ever. Loads of staff turn over. It seems they may not have the necessary staff to function effectively. It’s a very frustrating scenario as they are the main bank in Chemainus. I would recommend considering and alternative banking option whether it be the local credit union or perhaps a location in Duncan.
This is a very helpful CIBC branch. Versus their neighbouring community’s branch it is a night and day experience. They appear to genuinely want to problem solve, help and be informative. If they’re unable to do something, they’re forthcoming and explain why it’s not possible. They come across as knowledgeable and having a good handle on what they are doing. It's a bank that does not have tellers or handle cash at times. It seems CIBC is only interested in profit and not serving customers. What kind of reputable bank doesn't have tellers. Cmon CIBC how much money have you made off the backs of your customers that you can't afford to staff your banks properly
