The CIBC branch on Marine Drive is a mess, as usual. I’ve already promised myself not to go there anymore. Either the whole team, including the manager, says they’ll look into the issue and call me back – and then they don’t do anything and never call. I had an extremely frustrating experience at the CIBC branch at 496 Marine Dr. SW, Vancouver. I had an appointment with Advisor Carissa Dong on March 20, 2025, at 11:45 AM, which was confirmed two weeks prior, and I received a reminder the day before. When I arrived, I was told Carissa was no longer with the branch and asked to wait for another advisor. Even though I’ve moved away from south Vancouver, I’ve kept coming back to this CIBC. This is mainly because of my financial advisor, Helena. She’s truly amazing!! She helps me understand everything and is really great to talk to. Can’t recommend her enough :)
Terrible customer service, host did not help me resolve my issue.
I am with simplii Financial who is a subsidiary of CIBC. Because simplii doesn't have any physical branches, I had my bank draft sent to this CIBC for pickup. Huge mistake. Came in on Saturday since I'm busy on weekdays. The staff do not know how to release the bank draft. There is no manager on duty here to assist. I've been here for 37 minutes and am still waiting. Why is there nobody at the manager level here?
