I’ve been to two separate CIBCs recently, one on Broadway and one on W. 10th Ave. Got massive attitude from the female ‘tellers’ at both. CIBC needs to train their staff on how to deal with customers properly.
On September 25, 2024, I opened a USD account to receive an overseas wire payment. The CIBC representative also suggested opening a CAD savings account. Although I didn’t need another CAD account, I opened one at the branch in case I needed to exchange USD to CAD in the future. The overall experience with the representative was pleasant and went smoothly, except for one issue: he provided the wrong account number in the information I was to forward to my overseas payer.
