Initially I went in to get a new card replacement but came out with a much deeper understanding of my finances, how to reach my goals, pay off my credit card and the best savings account that I could opt in to and this was all help to Mitra! Mitra explained things in an easy to understand way and I left feeling more confident about my finance goals and achieving them.

Prathiba, the branch manager, went above and beyond to help me recover money that Canadian Tire Bank refused to return. She made several calls, flagged their shady practices (which even other CIBC folks confirmed), and spent over half an hour dealing with an unhelpful CTB senior manager. On top of that, she gave me solid advice on the escalation process.

I’ve been banking at CIBC for more than ten years. Mostly that banking has been fairly standard types of things, setting up online facilities, generally managing a personal account.
