I visited this CIBC branch around 2:00 PM today as a walk-in. There was no sign saying “by appointment only,” and the branch was completely empty. There were two staff at the front who appeared to be chatting. I asked for help with a very simple request — updating the card used for my loan payments — but was told to come back at 2:30, then 3:00. Waited 10 mins before anyone said "hello." Two employees and no eye contact as I stood right infront of the front desk. Even as they walked by. Poor customer service.

I don't like branches like this that don't have tellers.

I would rate 0 if I could. Only 1 person at the front and she’s not knowledgeable. Spent 20 min with her at the front while she had to different rooms to ask for help. In the end, I got nothing done and she told me to call customer service hotline instead. There’s absolutely no customer service at this location and the staff is quite unfriendly. I don’t know why with such a big office, only 1 person works at the front, creating a bottleneck for many customers behind me.
