I went in to make a hbp withrawl from my rrsp after being told to go to a branch and was told I need an appointment to get my money. I had no problems at rbc or with wealthsimple. This is one more nail in the coffin. Very disappointed with my interactions with cibc.

I just visited the bank, and I had by far the worst customer service experience with **Lizzy Barry** that I have ever had there. When I arrived, there was a line, so I first used the ATM to deposit some cash. After that, I returned to the waiting line. I politely asked who was last in line and waited patiently for my turn. Very disappointing. Refusing cash payments for a CIBC credit card unless you have a CIBC bank account is a step backward and feels like a way to pressure customers into opening an account. Otherwise, customers are forced to use bill payments or the ATM, which can still take 2–3 business days to process. Poor customer service.
