I wish I could give negative stars. Totally garbage service, and the branch manager is unprofessional in conversation, unknowledgeable about CIBC products and devices, and rude. He told me he’s been branch manager for many years (8 years?). No wonder this branch got so many 1-star reviews, and CIBC is again going back to that don’t-care-about-clients bank like pre-2015. I have been a long-time client of the CIBC branch at Bathurst St and Rutherford Rd, holding multiple business and personal accounts, as well as other financial products. In the past, it was an absolute pleasure to work with this branch, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the previous team and general manager. There are no bank tellers here so it's about as useful as an ATM.
I came here at Tuesday July 2 at noon. Was going to open an account here but the lady that was “taking care” of me had no energy didn’t even show me what products you guys have to offer. The worst part was that she spoke to me as if I’m a child and assumed that I’m not willing to keep a minimum balance in the account. Just because you wear office attire it does not mean you’re one of Jeff Bezos board of directors.
