I came in to see options for a USA account as I travel yearly. The first thing I was told was that we have no one to help at this time, but you can just apply online for the new account. The agent showed me what to do and said I was all good, no extra charges, and no new card needed. When I asked if I would be able to take out American cash at ATM in the USA.
