Went in with a simple debit card issue, classic issue should be easily resolved by a teller. Only problem is this place has no tellers. Apparently you need to make an appointment to have banking issues, I was able to get my issue resolved, not without getting a sales pitch for financial advice. This branch doesn't even carry cash. Need change for laundry? Tough luck I suppose.

I made an appointment and when I arrived was told that the person I had an appointment with was at another branch. Then when I tried to help my friend open an account we were told they would be unable to with our documentation (my friend is a recent immigrant)—this is in spite of what the CIBC website requires. The branch manager was not friendly, helpful, or creative in helping to resolve the issue. He suggested we try TD bank instead, which we happily did!

I’ve visited this CIBC branch multiple times and consistently encounter the same issue: staff available but not willing to help clients. Recently I arrived at 11 AM to find only one representative working with a client out of five desks, while others seemed to be hiding behind the back doors. Despite their claim that they work by appointments, there was 1 client during my visit.
