After calling around a dozen local accounting firms, all of whom seemed to be geared towards larger companies than mine, and subsequently didn't really want to deal with me, I could tell from the first couple of minutes that something was different about Chuck. He is straight-forward and forthcoming with information he didn't have to give me on a first call. My name is Evan and I basically don’t know very much about taxes. I had a lot of medical expenses in 2011 and asked chuck whether the amount I spent that year was enough to do a schedule A form (itemized deduction), which would’ve reduced my overall taxable income. He said that my expenses were enough and that he could modify my taxes for 2011. We signed a contract, etc. and I paid him for the work.
