I called many lawyers before finding Anu and I am so glad and grateful that I hired her to help me. She charges a fair retainer fee, unlike other lawyers who will charge you a ridiculously higher amount. She listened to my story and offered advice without judgement. Please AVOID AT ALL COST !!! Read why below. Ms. Chopra was appointed by the Butte County Superior Court as my Public Defender to represent my interests in criminal Court. Rather than adhere to her obligation, Ms. Chopra chose to argue in open Court that I should BE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY (!!!) during a morning hearing. That argument was successful and I was remanded into custody. Then that SAME AFTERNOON, Ms. Chopra went before the Judge and asked to BE REMOVED FROM MY CASE (!!!).
