very friendly staff but l feel like the daycare's playground is very sad and need improvement. l love the new director though she seems to be working on improving the daycare
As a parent who currently goes here it needs to be said! Where does the money go! Constant turn over! Outdated and broken toys! Outdated and dirty building! The review below says it all. Why pay for broken down facility when you can go one street over and pay the same for better, where are all the teachers going? Why are parents not communicated with when teacher depart or class changes hands ? The staff that’s barely holding on seems nice but sooooo much needs to change especially for the price point
My husband and I went for a tour this past week and we’re not impressed. The outside is dated and not well maintained, so first impression isn’t great. Security was minimal with a locked door and some security monitors. Outside lock by children playing didn’t look safe. Inside the setup is odd and cluttered. I suggest you check out the OCFS website before considering this center. Our personal experience at the Calkins Rd center was disappointing to say the least. The center does not live up to their core values, some staff members are intimidating and even aggressive towards children, complaints are dismissed and never followed up on.
