We moved to the area about two years ago, in the middle of the school year, and were scrambling to find a before and after school care. Our son’s elementary school suggested Children’s Lighthouse, and we enrolled. We sent our infant son here from the time he was 3 months to 5 months old, and during that period, the communication was incredibly poor. For example, we explicitly requested that our son not be placed in the exersaucer, as he was under the recommended 6-month age limit. Despite communicating this directly to the teachers, adding it to his daily drop-off notes in the app, and speaking with the director, who completely blew off our concerns, they continued to put him in it anyway. Loved the staff at CL OP and wish she’d been able to attend longer. We only stopped going due to a move to another area where drop off/pick up was not feasible.

Being a new and single working mama I was so nervous for the day I’d have to get back to work and find reliable care for my son. Children’s Lighthouse has made the transition so much easier for me. His teachers are great and are so good about giving updates throughout the day on the portal. This makes it so nice for when I need to refer back and see when/what he ate last.
