I was searching for dress pants. Depending on the maker, I range from a size 4 down to a size 0. I had spent a long time in the store trying to find small sizes in the different styles of pants spread throughout the store. I ended up with two pairs and asked to try them on. I followed her back to the fitting room and then she turned to me and ased me what size I usually wear. She then told me that a chico's size 1 is really a size 8/10 and a size 0 is really a 4/6. I was on my way to a party downtown Saratoga Springs and I was a little early so I thought I would stop and look in one of my favorites stores--CHICO"S. Well, I browsed around and al lof a sudden realized I had used up all of my time so I asked the salesclerk to validate my parking ticket. I was surprised, embarrased and speechless when she verbally attacked me saying validation was only for CUSTOMERS!!!! I have been a long time customer of Chicos and have spent thousands of dollars over the last 15 years. I tried to exchange some pants while waiting was ignored and disrespected by 2 different sales staff. It will be hard for me to be a return customer, particularly the store in 5 points shoping center. I don't believe the economy is good enough that any customer looking to spend money should be treated so poorly.
