Purchased a new car 10/03/25. They sent the bill in December for the pro rated amount. This is during the holidays and we had snow. My mail was delayed due to the weather. I also moved in December/January. Finally received a bill with a January due date in February. They were rude and refused to waive the fee! Spoke with Rebecca. Will ensure I will not vote for this person in the future.
I never got a tax bill so they sent a lien to DMV. Then when I wanted to pay it I had to pay an additional fee. Spoke to Bryan and he was absolutely rude. So glad I am moving from this hell hole. Update, today I got the actual bill due end of the month. Spoke to Rebecca the Treasurer who was also extremely rude. Stay out of this county.

If only I could give 0 stars. Let me quote directly from an email "Unfortunately, not receiving a bill is not a reason the state would allow us to waive any fees." So $600 in fees because I didn't receive the bills. They acknowledged that but just don't care. An internal error on THEIR part and it costs ME.
I had to overpay my personal property tax due to several instances of incompetence and inefficiency, the website indicates incorrect information and then depending on who you get on the phone you get a completely different story of what is going on. It almost feels like things are difficult by design …
