So 8/10/20 was my daughter’s move in date into one of your properties. This is what she arrived to at W 35th. They contacted your office and were told by a male employee, that he walked the location several days ago and it was move-in ready. The restroom next to my daughter’s room doesn’t even flush and still had urine and feces in it. Totally disgusting! I don’t know what your definition of move-in ready is, this is definitely not move-in ready. For $4000 a month this is not acceptable. Shame on you all for trying to take advantage of 5 college young ladies! You are now causing a substantial inconvenience for these young ladies. They are scrambling to figure out where they are gonna stay/live since the home they paid for isn’t livable. My daughter spoke to you all today and was advised that these horrible conditions don’t qualify for uninhabitable. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you wouldn’t move in your 19 year old daughter to this “habitable” location as you claim! You all are also stating that it isn’t a breech of contract on your part!! So you can pay for a place and be ready to move in and go pick up the keys and can’t move in? They paid full rent for the month even though they weren’t going to move into until the 10th, why wasn’t their rent prorated? Is that even legal? Now you are telling the girls, you’re gonna fix what should have already been taken care of on or before 8/9/20 and now you claim you will get to it when you can. No sense of urgency. Over 24 hrs after their initial complaint an employee claims that your company will get the issues resolved in 7-10 days. How is that good business? You’re essentially telling my daughter deal with it, we’ll get it fixed when we can. Again not acceptable. WARNING- any parents sending their young adults to Austin, Texas watch out with Tower Realty, I wouldn’t want your children dealing with all this stress!!
