We had a loan through this bank. We were overpaying each month to bring down the principal, they wouldn't automatically apply the overpayments to principal. It would just sit there in the account until we called. The first time they let it get to over $1000 and didn't mention it to us. Even after calling them and fixing it we had to call every month and redo it. Long time banker with Chemical before they turned to TCF. Went to this branch to cash a check which they promptly put a hold on. Did not advise me of the hold, despite it being company policy that they tell you they hold it. Had to call and complain about how rude the woman in the drive through lane was, and having to deal with the hold on the check. It was promptly fixed, but not before they told me a lie that they check needed to clear over the weekend. Which is not how checks work. Would not continue to do business at thi... read more

Half the time you don't know if this tcf branch is still even in business, or if they are open.. And the ATM never seems to work right... 2 out 10 times you might be able to deposit money in to it... But most likely not... So frustrating.... Worst Tcf branch iv ever experienced in 24 years and in multiple states. . Ughhhh
