Edit: I appreciate the response from CheckChangers and understand where they are coming from. I forgot to include that when I was going back and forth with the woman who was helping me, she was 100% sure that I would be charged the same amount at the city office. That is what bothered me the most. She should have just said this is what our system shows but you can go try the city office instead of confidently saying I’m going to get the same response from the city office when that ended up being untrue. Be careful with the cash you receive after cashing your check here, I received a fake $20.00. I cashed my check at 4:57pm on Thursday 01/25/24, I didn’t realize I had received any fake cash until today 01/26/24 when I tried to buy lunch at L’patron on Fullerton. The cashier marked it up and you can see from the picture it marked as fake, she said I can call the police on you and refused to return the bill to me.
