We got our re-upholstered sofa from Chavez about a month ago. We are very happy with the quality and workmanship. The old sofa on the left and the new sofa on the right. It took a little longer than the 12 weeks estimate because of medical problems with several employees, otherwise we would have given a 5 star.
I recently had a couch, chair and ottoman completely refurbished by Eddie and the team over at Chavez. They replaced all the fabric and cushions and made structural repairs that were needed. The furniture turned out great and I am very happy with the quality of the work! The pricing turned out to be comparable to buying new couches at a box store, but the quality is far superior to anything you can buy at a store these days. Just tucked my sofa pillows back into the sofa & it was tight. The firm foam Chavez used to re-stuff my sagging pillows fits like a glove. My 24 year old furniture feels/sits like brand new! Thank you Eddie.
I placed an order 7/2025. I have yet to hear back about the fabric ordered and even when the work can or will be done on my setee. He started that he had been sick but was going in the next day and please send a text the next day to remind him to look up the order. I am still waiting and have heard nothing. I was giving him some grace bit after reading all of these bad reviews, I am sure that I've been taken. I sure wish I had seen all of these bad reviews when I initially checked ou the place.
UPDATE: September, 2025. Since writing this review, the vendor reached out to me and did take care of the issue. This included picking up and then delivering the chairs back to me. I appreciate that they stood behind their work. I changed from 1 star to four stars based on them doing this. This place is awful. He did a terrible job upholstering two beautiful heirloom chairs.
