The Power of Attorney process at Chase is absolutely horrific. They do NOT accept a legally executed POA processed by an attorney and notarized. They look for the principal to be present. The purpose of a POA is that a principal does not have to be present. My sibling and I took 3 hours away from our fathers bedside to process a POA and 2 hours after we left, we were called and told we had to come in yet again because it could not be processed asking us to take precious time away from our father's bedside.
