They refused to notarize TreasuryDirect’s 5512 Form for me. TreasuryDirect’s customer service rep said this is the first time in her career hearing a bank refusal to do this basic service. Treasury Direct told me they have plenty of clients with Chase bank and have never come across this problem. I went down the street to another chase branch and got notarized, no problem.
