The nurses and PSWs have been great which is why I'm giving a 2 star. However the general manager has been a nightmare (brenda?). I've only had a few encounters and its has been horrendous. No acknowledgement and pure dismissal, not sure why she is in this line of work.
When families look for assisted living for their parents, we tend to focus on the obvious things — cleanliness, good food, friendly staff, and nice amenities. I can’t say enough about Linda and our experience touring the residence today. It was head and shoulders above our expectations. Friendly staff and residents eager to share how happy they are with all the activities and great food not to mention the amenities and beautiful grounds! Thank you! You are the answer to our prayers.
Although it initially took some convincing for our Mom to move out of the house she had been in for over 40 years and into Chartwell Oak Ridges it was one of the best decisions we ever made for our Mom and for us. What helped convince her to try it was we explained we would move her in for a 3 months trial and if she really didn't want to stay we would move her back home after 3 months. Chartwell Oak Ridges has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere! The staff all kind and pleasant! One of the highlights of our visits to Chartwell is the dining room! Special thanks to Mohammad, the restaurant manager as he ensures The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are all kind and attentive! Thanks very much!
