My mom lives at this retirement home, and recently they allowed us (my fiance and I) to use their chapel for a small, intimate wedding so she could be part of such an important day. What they did for us went far beyond anything we expected. The staff beautifully decorated the chapel as a surprise, creating such a warm and special setting. Staff and residents came to celebrate with us, offering hugs, kind words, heartfelt advice, and genuine joy. My brother has been living at the Chartwell Empress Kanata for 15 months. It was a difficult transition for him as he has lived alone in his own home for 40 years. All of the staff have been cheerful, friendly and helpful. He enjoys the meals, the afternoon social gatherings, and the outings on the mini bus.
