Wouldn't go anywhere else! I first brought my teeny pug puppy, Edgar to Charm City before he was even allowed to attend day care! We were so excited about the concept that when we first visited the staff made certain to remind us to hold Edgar and not let him interact with other dogs until he had his full vaccinations. As soon as he was old enough, he started going 2-3 times a week. That was almost 5 years ago and we've now added another pug and fostered several dogs! They all LOVE Charm City Dogs. Awesome They have really great dog training and grooming people. They are friendly, and do a wonderful job with all kinds of dogs, big and small. Charm City Dogs is a lifesaver! CCD offers a safe and active play experience for dogs-- of all shapes and sizes. I've taken my Airedale there for over two years, and have NEVER had a problem or issue. In fact, CCD has been a lifesaver for me when I am travelling on business, which was quite a few times last year. I don't know what I would have done without such a safe and caring place to house my dog while I am away! The staff is great and really tries to improve care and training. And they will accept feedback graciously.
Wonderful I have been sending my dogs to Charm City for a while now over a year and they are great. They had this awesome overnight girl who used to wake up talk to me at all hours of the morning and night when my husband and I were travelling and had to leave the dogs who are older and need special care. She remembered our names and our dogs loved her and so did all the other dog. Dave is so friendly and involved and the training is good too. I absolutely recommend them.
They really love my dog, and that's all I can ask! My dog has special needs, and they have always taken that very seriously! My dog attends daycare, had a few training classes and has stayed overnight. The staff is amazing, and Dave is a very involved owner. They don't mind that I call constantly to check on her, and don't mind when my mom calls either! They always ask for updates on her medical condition. My dog loves going to Charm City Dogs!! My dog has been going to Charm City dogs for over 3 years now. He goes there a couple times a week, and he absolutely loves it. He starts wagging his tail when I say 'CCD', Michelle, Rudy or any other CCD staff names, same thing as soon as we get off 83. And when I pick him up at the end of the day, he falls asleep before we get home. The staff there is wonderful, they genuilely love and understand dogs. Not impressive... The staff at Charm City Dogs is nice enough, but the play areas seem unsupervised and there are barely any toys or activities for the dogs to do. They seem like they are just waiting around in the rooms for their owners to pick them up. Although they say they are committed to working with all animals, if your dog doesn't immediately feel comfortable there, they wont do much to help.
Keep looking for a better day care. I've been a customer at Charm City Dogs and I can't recommend it. The staff seems friendly on the surface but if you ever question anything they snap and become very defensive forgetting all customer service. I don't think they are all that cheap either. They hire young staff and I've walked in many times to find everyone behind the counter leaving the dogs unattended. Wouldn't Recommend I have a very happy, energetic, large puppy who has been socialized at many dog parks and other overnight kennels...he's very friendly and non-aggressive...with that said... the place smelled like urine and cleaning products...my dog came home smelling like urine and cleaning products...absolutely disgusting! i have taken him to other open kennels and this has never happened...i could understand a little matter on him, but the smell was overwhelming...it's basically a warehouse space that has a few section... read more
