For her last 6 years, my mother called Charlotte Villa home. She quickly involved herself in this community, and especially loved the live entertainment, bingo, and other activities. At the end of her life, the staff allowed us to celebrate her life at Charlotte Villa. We are grateful for the support, kindness and care she received.
The staff are excellent with my aunt and are always friendly and helpful. She enjoys the food and live music.
My sister’s experience at this retirement home was entirely negative. staff were not responsive- she would wait for hours - and then when she took matters in her own hands to get help - she was blamed and seen as being difficult. There was little attempt to gain rapport with my sister but rather get her to follow all the rules. There was a top down approach and she was given the message quite clearly she was not wanted and she didn’t belong. I would worry about any resident who was vulnerable living here.
