Went to press charges against ex for assaulting me Thursday before Good Friday. After almost 5 hours of waiting the magistrate ended up suggesting some dispute settlement aka mediation to me... as I told her I do not feel safe around my ex who has a long history of violence and such! She did not review the police report number or even the pink sheet of paper I was requested to fill out.
