I needed help rolling over an existing account to a new IRA. Scheduled an appointment with David Vance and he was extremely helpful guiding me through the paperwork and other requirements. David was obviously very knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly to deal with. Thank you David and the rest of the Charles Schwab staff!
We have had a terrible customer service experience with Charles Schwab. There have been numerous problems trying to open a rollover IRA for my wife. We finally had to submit actual paper forms as our accounts are linked and their system kept opening an account in my name. This led to additional work as now there was an account to be closed. Now, their customer service reps are telling me that the forms provided 15 days ago are now out of date and have to be re-done. I called to make an appointment, but was told to just stop in. So I did. The front desk, and no one there, was of any help in either closing the account or transferring the account. I am left not knowing what I must do next to move my money. I am angry at the incompetence I experienced including on a later telephone call with the Asheville Schwab office.
I should have read some of these reviews before.I even thought about contacting this branch.
