The last firm that forget to close on your house because they would rather go on vacation and close it late and then you endure another payment with your mortgage and then they turn around and say that in their closing documents that “you’ve told us you want to discharge your mortgage on the settlement date of Aug.22.25” whicn was NEVER SAID … the closing date on the house was Aug.1st. My family had been using George Chapman for years. I had to have some real estate work completed and I will not be back to this law firm. The disorganization, horrible communication, and over unpleasant people to deal with did not leave my husband and I with a positive experience. I would suggest you go elsewhere.
I would be embarrassed if I had my name on a company that does this poor quality of work. They should be fined or have their license pulled for the garbage of work we received. We were dealing with an estate and the first issue noted was when we requested for probate, the lawyers forgot to include everything in the probate (even though they had everything) so this caused us more work and time to amend the letter. Then in their ledgers, they kept spelling names wrong, transposing numbers and could not even do simple addition ... read more
I have used this law firm before it was sold recently and they were excellent. The new owner doesn’t listen to clients and also charges you if you decide to not hire him. So FYI consults are not free. This information is not given when you book the consult.
