I had my bank mail my tax payment to them directly. They mailed it back to me and still say I need to pay. I've never seen such an inaccessibly payment process. I can't understand how they haven't had an ADA grievance filed.

I have pulmonary health issues that make it harder to go get the payment required and then take it into Brookens which is a long walk from the parking to the office for me. I used to pay over the phone or online and they have done away with those options. I don't understand why they are making it harder for senior citizens.

A return address needs to be on all correspondence. Rule number one, when sending out correspondence you always add a date and a return address, Especially, coming from the county! This is not professional business practices.

Property tax check processing is the slowest I have EVER experienced. I have lived in the same Urbana house for almost 50 years now. Paid my taxes via bank check on August 31, 2022. It's Monday Sept 26, 2022 and my check has still NOT CLEARED Check is from a LOCAL URBANA BANK?? When I call to ask about processing time I am given the run-around "We have no IDEA when your check will clear".
