I just found out that the residents are asked to give $200 each in December. Supposedly to share with the employees as a bonus for helping the residents through out the year. Isn’t that why they get paid from Certus? Is this even legal to do?

I am in the process of moving my Mother in. It is a beautiful facility and the people here are wonderful. My wife and I were quite concerned moving her bedroom suite into the facility. We are not young ourselves! A wonderful maintenance man by the name of William came to our aid and helped us with the move-in. I cannot say how much I was relieved to have the help. I believe that CERTUS Orange City provides one of the best memory care offerings in West Volusia. The learning they incorporate from the National Institute for Dementia Education is unparalleled. The staff is pleasant and the food is good.

Most of the staff that wear the green shirts care about the residents some are just there to get paid and it shows. The wellness director is so nasty to her workers and doesn’t care about anyone but herself. The ED doesn’t care about the residents or the employers. When residents pass away they leave them in their room for HOURSSSS without checking on them. Even the residents that are bedridden. So be mindful when taking your family member to a facility like Certus
