The only reason I stopped by here was because I got flat tire right near the shop. The owner said to me "after 45 years of doing this business I'm only here to get rid of the inventory" right in front of me and other customer.lol he also took a look at my bike and said "why don't you learn how to fix the bike before you buy one"!!!! Really? I didn't know that we have to learn how to fix the flat to qualify to be a bike rider. He should really sell the store and retire. He deserves it I'm sure...
Owner replaced my damaged bicycle tube in around 17 minutes. Great area. Lots of places to kill time and drink coffee. Gave me a discount off posted repair price because I had to go to the atm (1/4 block away) to get cash due to a minimum credit fee of 25. Not many people do that. Will definitely be shopping here again.
The owner is a bit... eccentric, to put it nicely. He doesn't open on Sundays which is inexcusable. Actually he opens whenever he feels like it, which isn't often. In his advanced years, he's got a very rigid moderate philosophy of bicycling and refuses to keep up with technology. The place is sparsely furnished, if you do catch it open. He also is adamantly against hiring anyone else to at least mind the store in his frequent absences.
