I was quoted a price (-5%) of spot on the phone. Okay. I get it. Business costs. You’ll sell 5% over spot and make a tidy profit without a heavy lift. I get there with the impeccable piece and the main guy comes over to his assistant and announces another 2% reduction due to a crack in the protective case which had nothing to do with the authenticity or legitimacy of the piece itself.
