I called to try to make an appointment for legal help with a Social Security disability overpayment. The woman asked me for my info and then told me I wasn’t eligible ,as I have some savings. This isn’t true for older folk. I am going to stop this review here, as there is too much to write. It’s very sad that people have to go through this for help and never get it because of employees who don’t seem to know what eligibility requirements are, or what paperwork is required so they can have all the SSA info.

I have to say that I agree with most of the reviews of CJLS. I filled out a form online and called to speak to someone. I was screened and was told that someone named Jose or Juan would be calling me in 24 HOURS, well it is now 5 weeks later and no phone call. I need help with eviction and can't wait for someone in your office to decide that I am worth calling back.

Nadia or Nidia is very unprofessional and rude. Not empathetic at all. I guess you have to be Spanish or speak Spanish to get assistance from this organization. I am disappointed but not surprised.
