I have tried many of the caregiving services in Monterey County over the years. I have Central Coast Senior Services to be amongst the worst I have dealt with. Many of their caregivers were not trained and some were rude and lazy. We even had theft in our home with valuable items stolen. Management if Central Coast Senior Services was horrible and dealing with them was a nightmare. As a Monterey County resident I would never entrust anyone with this terrible company. The aide arrived just a little late for a scheduled 3 hour block of time in which patient snd primary caregiver were led to believe by the agency they could assist with small tasks to provide respite. When asked to assist with some trash cleanup, he refused and said he only helps patients with toileting and showering and that he could call "the girls" to do that as only 20% of their time can be devoted to tasks such as that. This agency is the “worst.” We had an appointment on December 28, 2022. Bethany, the coordinator said because of the Holiday’s the CNA wouldn’t start until the first of the year. Naturally, this was totally acceptable. It is now January 13. She texted me January 10 notifying us the CNA that was supposed to start January 11 was “sick” and wouldn’t be able to start until January 19, 2023. This agency was sent to assist my Father three times per week. However one of the caregivers caused major problems in our home and she brought big problems. She also stole a Cartier diamond ring valued of $10,000 but since I didn’t actually see her leave with it the police didn’t do anything. This agency also made accusations that I was abusive to my parents and they called the police and Adult protective services. Virginia and her crew impressed me immediately with their very professional and caring approach to providing appropriate services for my 95 year old mother following her hip fracture.
