I've been a customer of Central Bank for over 10 years. Yesterday, I received a VA settlement check that had been in the process for over a year. But, it was written in my prior married name. I took my birth certificate, my prior marriage license, my prior divorce decree, my current marriage license, the claim letter and my passport to the bank to deposit the check in my savings account, I was told that I needed to contact the Department of Treasury and tell them to reissue the check in the correct name.
