This has got to be one of the biggest examples of poor business practices, especially from a bank, that I've seen in years. I looked at their website and they list five different options for checking accounts, one of which is "Free" (so they say) and another where the fee is waived for direct deposits over $500 a month. My stepson & his wife recently moved here from a small town, so I took her there, since it's only a mile away, to open a new checking account.
