Centinel Bank of Taos is the product of Eliu Romero. Growing up in a family of subsistence farmers, he put himself through college and law school. On his return to Taos, N.M., he applied at a local bank for a small loan to set up his law practice. He was denied the loan. I just got off the phone with Jo, and she was extremely helpful and kind. I transferred from Hillcrest because their customer service policies changed when the were bought. I should have been using Centinel for the last 34 years!
