We had an amazing 4 years at Center Academy. My son grew both academically and socially during his time at the school. He had wonderful teachers that really cared about his progress. He is now graduating from Center Academy this year and we are very grateful for his time there.
My son has done a complete turn around since he has been at center academy. The teacher's really do care about the kids. There are 2 teacher's in his classroom , and if they need help one of the teacher's will go over and help the child with there work problem. Mary Jane Ritchie was fired from Center Academy and ran off some good teacher's because of her mouth. She was not right for this school anymore. Center Academy of Smyrna is perfect for my son. It was a hard process trying to find a school that met his needs as a student with learning disabilities and did not require me to travel long distances to get him to school. This is his second year here at the school and he has improved dramatically not only in his studies, but also in his overall health. I am concerned for the future of Center Academy in Smyrna. Students are being turned away and asked not to return because of their learning differences. CA professes to be a school for special needs and readily accepts the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship funding. Several parents have called to say their child no longer fits the school profile.
