I recently visited Centennial Bank and had mixed experiences. The lady who initially assisted me was kind and professional; however, the other two ladies I encountered—one whom I assume was a supervisor and another working the drive-through on 01/08/26—were rude and unhelpful. They were whispering and staring at me, which made me feel as though I was being treated suspiciously because of the amount of money I was attempting to transfer to my sister after an auction issue, which was not their business. These people are incompetent at best. I came to cash a check. My company goes through this bank. The check i had had a tiny rip on it and they refused to even try to scan it saying their machine won't read it and if they do it manually and it's a bad check the company will pay for it and they didn't want to risk that. Mind you they were talking to our CEO right before telling me this confirming it's ok to cash the check and confirmed who i am. The ladies were polite but again incompetent. The team of Lily Perry, Haleigh Collins, Whitney Rayford and branch manager, Cornell Smith went way above expectations to provide me with a banking experience needed as an out of state customer. Their willingness to help was outstanding. These are people I would want to work for me. Regional presidents, Jim Haynes and Gordon Silaski, should be proud of this team! The new branch in Fairhope is a beautiful facility and with this team it will be a valuable asset to Centennial bank and the city of Fairhope, AL.
Great branch. Helped me through a complicated process to get my money back after a cashiers check was misplaced by UPS in the mail.
