My mortgage through Citi Bank was told to this shady outfit. There was some confusion on my homeowners insurance. Good luck trying to speak to a representative of this company. I spent about an hour trying to speak to a human. It never happened. It you have an issues your on your own. How any company can operate like this is appalling. We are talking about what is most people’s largest investment and they have no one to help you resolve a situation. No stars should an option.
Cenlar’s customer service and online portal have been a mess in our experience. We had a problem with our escrow analysis because Cenlar used the wrong property tax amount. After countless calls to customer service and more than a month of trying to get it corrected, they finally ran another analysis. Now we have a problem with the amounts shown as due for the past few months because of that incorrect escrow analysis. I've had a VA loan for eleven years that was transferred to CENLAR fairly early in the span of the mortgage. I've not had any issues with payment processing. The few calls I've made to customer service were fine, and I recently changed home owners insurance providers with were no issues getting that switched over. Basically it seems like they are performing to expectations. If your mortgage is with CENLAR I wouldn't panic based upon the negative reviews here.
They are terrible!!! They make mistakes then put unrealistic expectations, if your mortgage agent recommends them they do not have your interest as a priority. I've never seen such a low rating.
