Just spoke with the person on the phone that was convincing me that I have to get to 20% of my equity to get PMI removed. When I shared my screen and showed her I am at 20.6%, she kept saying I am looking at it “backwards “ and that I need to pay that 0.6%. My LTV is at 79.4% and my EQUITY is at 20.6% and CU1 would not remove my PMI. Worst service ever. Don't ever use this company
I’ve had a very different experience than the other reviewers here. Customer service at Cenlar has been consistently helpful and responsive. Payments and escrow management are handled well. The only thing I’d like to see better is for them to allow me to connect my mortgage account to financial aggregator apps via Plaid. That would make managing finances easier. Thanks!
Systems and process are designed to place you "in default". They didn't properly notify me I was late on payments, then reported me to credit agencies which resulted in a 150 drop in my credit score from 800+! No emails with subject lines like "Payment is late" or calls or SMS. Nothing. I had a perfect payment history, mostly paid with their autopay, added a new bank account far in advance of the next payment and I recall their site wouldn't immediately let me mark it as autopay, so of course I forgot. Going on 60 days applied for mitigation for short sale. They are the worst still no answer snd Im sure it’s not being worked on. Freddie Mac pls stop using them. Also about 30% of their reps don’t care. We have a cash offer thats $3k over the BPO they will lose it. Buyers are not gonna extend contract. Cenlar you suck
